NOTICE - Please note that all times are 1 hour later than 'usual' (and that have been showing here until 3 Sept) due to the final of the World Cup being held at 5:00am earlier on the ride day.
One of our regular riders pointed this out to us and so we have given out-of-town riders an extra hour to get themselves here after the early start.
Entries are now open. Click HERE
We invite you to join us in Martinborough on Sunday 1 November for this fun tour over three distances - 48km, 67km or 115km, passing through some of New Zealand's most memorable countryside: famed for its great micro-climate, wines, olives, agriculture, and of course hospitality.
As noted elsewhere on the website, PLEASE NOTE THAT THE 115KM RIDERS WILL DO THE LARGER LOOP THROUGH GLADSTONE FIRST, which is a change from previous rides.
As we wish everyone to fully enjoy themselves we will restrict entries to the first 1000.
This year the beneficiaries will be:
We have listened to you and have made several changes to the format of the ride:
We will be offering 3 rides of 48km, 67km and 115km.
The 48km ride is a loop of Longbush Rd, Millars Rd to Ponatahi and back to Martinborough.
The 67km ride goes along Longbush Rd to Gladstone, across to Carters Line, Ponatahi and home.
The 115km ride is the 67km loop first, followed by the 48km loop.
We have moved the event to the Martinborough Rugby Club on the corner of New York St and Regent St. This means all rides will start and finish there, with the lunch and prize-giving also there.
There will be a coffee cart on site as well as a Cycle Science tent with riding equipment for sale as well as bike mechanic.
Look for more exciting changes coming soon
